I-9 Employee Verification: Human Resources Visit Requirements

All employees at UNC Charlotte are required to verify their eligibility to work in the United States by completing the I-9 form, before they can be fully processed as an employee. You cannot begin work until you complete this crucial action.

New employees must visit Human Resources in person at the King Building room 222 to complete I-9 verification and to finish the New Hire Packet forms. You must bring the forms required by HR listed on the New Employees page.

View the available HR appointment times to complete your I-9 paperwork. Please note, failure to complete this action will result in your pay being cancelled. You must also complete all new hire paperwork required by HR.

Visit Human Resources’ “Before You Start” page to complete your I-9 requirement and schedule an appointment.

If you teach courses that are 100% online, you are still required to come to campus in-person to complete your I-9.
